POD (C64)
A pure and simple shoot-em-up, for either one or two players. Each level is timed, so you decide whether it's easier to shoot them or avoid them. But explosions damage the self-repairing grid. So you can get blocked if things blow up in the wrong place.

Night Mission Pinball (C64)
The graphics haven't changed at all from the Apple II original (hence my decision to run C64emu in green-screen mode), but it does a good job of feeling like a genuine pinball table. The SID-chip is flexed well to add some WWII ambiance.

I must have taken too many screen-shots over the years, coz I have snaps of an arcade game called Rally Bike that I can't remember taking at all. Think I have to revisit it now. Gorgeous SWIV-like GFX. A bit like Zippy Race/Traverse USA got a makeover. 😊
Was surprised that I didn't know about this. Then I saw when it was released, which was about when most of my friends had moved to Amiga or PC, my brother was no longer buying Zzap!64, so I was playing the C64 back catalogue, rather than finding about anything new.

I think they over-complicated it with the ice skating event.
There were some moves that only worked when you were facing a particular way. Guess they wanted people to take the time to learn it. They underestimated my lack of attention-span. 😊
And lets not forget the sequel. For me, it was the perfect follow-up: futuristic metalic landscape, single-shots become double-shots, add a homing missile, and sprinkle some wee call-back easter eggs throughout the game. I've always got a spare credit for Time Pilot '84 too. 😄

Freestyle Skiing is the proper name for this event now. But Hot Dog sounds cool, so I won't take any issue with that. Besides, it's a really fun event. If you time it right you can fit in two moves in a single jump.. If you time it right. 😊

Split Personalities takes the old sliding puzzle and really jazzes it up for the home computer. It's those snippets of Whittaker music that help set the urgent pace you should be feeling.

The Amiga conversion of the fun arcade platform game, where you have to save your kiwi friends, who have been kidnapped by an evil walrus.
It's an enjoyable game, but I wish the artists had gone for backgrounds that aren't so dominated by yellow+brown. 🤔
Carrier Command was on a disk that came with my (2nd hand) Amiga500. No instructions, unfortunately. But it was amazing how intuitive it was to control the carrier, its weapons systems, and its various craft.
Still fun to idly tinker around with today. One day I may even try to play it properly. 😄
Love the cartoon-y look of the players and aliens. Quite abstract enemy creatures, but they still have character to them.

Super Pipeline II (C64)
Loading Super Pipeline II off of cassette is a surprisingly soothing process. 😊 An excellent game. I think I could make it further, but setting chapter points for all the funny intermissions was the most important thing to do. 😄
