I guess I have to find an alternative VPS host for my website, Linode is a no-go now.

Yeah this thing is straight up expecting a VAT number. Which is for corporate entities, not individuals.

What the fuck is this nonsense? This wasn't a thing before!

Honestly I don't really know what's going on here with Linode/Akamai but this is a big problem.

I might have to take down my website. Something went fucky with the billing stuff and I need a valid "Tax ID". Putting my regular-ass Spanish citizen ID there no longer works. It used to, but I guess now it expects me to literally be a corporation.
