Had a moment after I finished my test roll on Leica IIIC and started rewinding when I was convinced that the film didn't actually catch on because I didn't feel enough resistance π

Thanks! Can't wait to shoot it
Another early impression- it's surprisingly light and small. The body itself is actually lighter than the half frame Canon Demi EE17, which I'm used to carrying everywhere. Body + 50mm is lighter than Kodak Retina IIIs by a good 100g.
Oddly enough slow speeds seem quite accurate, except 1 second which seems to do exactly what T does. Still, pretty darn good!
Oh man, I would never have known, it's a whole new world out here. Thank you for the tip
Well I'll be damned
Tried Agfa APX 400 for the first time - really lovely!
Here's a couple of shots from the interior of my favorite milk bar, Bar Familijny, which sustained me when I was a student and I still like to frequent.

It's the first time I'm using a Leica and I was shocked at how well things operate, I still expected it to feel like slightly smoother Zorki, but it's a different beast altogether.
It's here and I'm flabbergasted. It's in amazing shape, glass looks super clean, seems like I got really lucky.
Thank you! I will do a smattering of both π
Now you got me wishing for an external VF! Beautiful set
Well, of course, what fool buys a Leica to take photos *with*, not *of*?
I bought it 350β¬ based on very bad pictures on the assumption that it's a prewar Barnack with an Elmar, but just got new pictures confirming that I got a better deal than I had assumed. Fingers crossed the lens isn't fogged to all hells!
I'm super excited - a fully functional 1949 Leica IIIC in a very nice condition with a Summitar f2 is on its way to me.

That's so rad! It was an absolute highlight of this trip, I would love to hear a choir concert there one day.

Btw, the reason why I dropped it was because I used both the wrist strap and the case. Whenever I wanted to take a picture I was fiddling with the case to get it out of the way. Now I'm using only the case and hadnt had this problem since
No, it was in the middle of the summer! I'm glad I stuck it out, because at first a lot of the photos looked like this:
Next, the shutter started firing normally, but still manual mode only. Then the lightmeter needle suddenly "woke up", but I still had to adjust the settings myself. Then 'Auto' came back and finally, recently, after many many rolls, frame counter randomly started working again, so it's fully fixed π
Fun fact about mine: I dropped it and it was completely stuck and then as I tried to use it, it gradually "fixed" itself one feature at a time. At first the shutter was firing when winding, and I was using it like that exclusively on manual, because the meter didn't work either.
