It occurred to to me while working on Cuphead that if you don’t have to keep the entire final sprite in a single texture, and instead can composite different layers, you can achieve further savings. E.g., if you keep flat colours on a different layer to shading and to lines, there’s more redundancy.

One of our tiny dogs has been nauseous lately and the vet thinks it's an allergy. As with a human, this means adopting a strict diet of non-allergenic foods + novel proteins to isolate the issue (prescription special-order food).

So that's how I ended up buying 2kg of CROCODILE MEAT for my 2kg dog.
