A quiet day. Passenger planes are taking off from DXB. Been at the beach park with the kids, went to the new smash burger place near us, got Wolves v Liverpool on now. Thank you UAE for keeping us safe ππ» π¦πͺ

If you carry hate and resentment and feel like even a single person βdeservesβ to have missiles over their head, youβve gotta think about where that hate comes from and why so many supposedly βkindβ people from a single spiteful country are so full of it. Be well. ππ»
Due to my old life Iβm in a lot of journalist contact books. Been asked to do talking head nonsense a few times. Tangible disappointment from them - esp the newspaper BlueSky loves - when I havenβt got some horror story. Clear theyβre searching for horror narrative. Itβs been eye openingπ€·ββοΈ
Blimey.

A legend was born tonight.
Grim, that. Itβd currently mean Derby would qualify. And imagine that Derby side in the PL!
βHe will not be missed.β

Supermarket was completely restocked today. Canβt say it was anything but a normal Thursday save for the kids doing school via Zoom. Theyβve moved school Spring Break to start from Saturday. Very grateful to the UAE for keeping us safe.
βOne sack hit me so big, it broke my ribβ.
Fabulous. Bet he never went out dressed any other way.
Itβs extraordinary having the reality of your eyes and ears so utterly at odds with what social media and the press is saying. And only the UK, of course, could reduce war to how a section of British people need to know their place. But of course.
Normal day again. Heard interceptions last night. Doesnβt phase me at all. Been out playing football. Everyone milling about as usual. Supermarkets restocked. Biggest news is that our local Dennyβs is closing after many years (unconnected).
The exact sort of pettiness we love to see from the Everton Wadmin π«‘
Got missiles flying over my house but that game was worse.
Xhaka got fucked up by Tyler Adams at the weekend! Orange card foul.
Magnificent. Somebody on here was saying itβs his girlfriend who makes them.
Loud bang heard.
Was the boy playing football inside and knocking down this photo from the wall. Not during a war, lad.
Itβs funny, my wife says I see football everywhereβ¦but that does look like the Peacock π
Last night they projected onto the tree, too, which made an awesome peacock effect.
If you want to know how the British print news industry ends (which is, de facto, amazingly still what supports most newspaper websites) it's the distribution channels getting banjaxed. When you lose "TG Jones" etc even people who want a paper can't get one. That'll be the real start of the ending.
Birmingham have lost once at home in 40-odd games. Middlesbrough giving them a tonking here, though. Best side in the second tier for me.
Update: bought everything I need to make a cottage pie.
Yes, the water can end up on the ceiling too at first π
Bankes was a little bitch, acting on emotion. He knows he stank the place up.
I get this too, from a New Yorker who either does not learn or doesnβt care. Itβs mental how much heβs given me access to over the years, and how easy it would be to cause the guy harm. Tracked him down once out of genuine concern, it went quiet for a few yearsβ¦then started again.
Good to just get it done innit. Dunno if youβve ever seen these Water Pik things but they work better than floss and I have to have the minimal of cleaning done now.
Seems to be news to some folk that moving to another country means you no longer pay UK tax on non-UK-earned income⦠should EFL teachers in Kenya or nurses in New Zealand also not enjoy consular services in case of emergency?
Itβs always worse than the dentist itself π Stupid buffer thing!
