I can understand the frustration from a player pov.
In my engine I use title cards to load the game; otherwise it would just a loading bar. I also want to show appreciation to people/groups who helped make the framework the game runs on. My title cards are just max 20 seconds, 3 minutes is wild
The plan is to make it fully customisable, so you can throw in whatever widgets you want and it updates in real-time. It's been a fun journey so far. I think I've rewritten it 2-3 times, just to make it easy to use. My end goal is to have a minimap that can render within the web console
This is one of my old projects; a web console for #love2d. Useful for game servers - I'm still working on it on and off as an open source library. I haven't made a stable release yet, but it's always fun showing it off
