we're getting a new employee next month, which means that i will no longer be the freshest person in the office... almost two years after i started! plus i'm finally moving on from being a junior :D i wish the pay was better but what can you do
i'm honestly not sure yet! i was going to doodle some ideas today but i've been dealing with some shoulder pain so that's not gonna happen. knowing me though, i'll probably start with the markings and see where that takes me :'D (i'll probably settle on a simpler design though... eventually)
think i'm gonna redesign my dragon again .-.
it's always been difficult for me to settle on a design for dragon sonas. the sona i used on my previous account was 'finalized' but i never really felt like she fit me. i settled on a design that was fun to draw vs a simple one that actually felt right
WIKIPEDIA BABY GLOBE I WOULD KILL FOR YOU
on that note, if anybody has some unexplainable/paranormal/weird/scary experiences they'd like to share, i'm all ears (eyes?) ๐
(of course, if anybody wants to hear mine, i would love to share lol. just gotta figure out how to summarize them in this format)
i'm always so happy to talk about stuff like this because i have A Lot of experiences. like, throughout my childhood unexplainable shit just kept happening to both me and the people around me. it's probably what kickstarted my love of folklore and scary stories in general
today my coworkers and i recounted our paranormal experiences for like an hour and a half. i don't talk to some of them much so this was a nice experience (i usually stick to my own group). conclusion: a lot of weird stuff has happened, and not only to me!
A worm-like monster with sharp teeth. Their body is made out of multiple different fabrics, while their limbs look somewhat wooden and puppet-like.
just navki being their patchwork self. i wonder how badly this pic will crop

A dark anthro cat facing the viewer, a hand held up in front of them as if they're touching a mirror. Their hair is messy and their expression says nothing in particular.
who will you be?

OK ART INCOMING HERE WE GO (followed by the most underwhelming art dump of all time, two pieces in total)
it's pretty bad and i could definitely improve it if i rewrote it, but god damn it exists and i will consider that a win
plus it shows i've improved and that's always a good thing!
years ago (pre-2021) a local online magazine published one of my short stories, and while i would never show it to anyone irl or even say it exists, i am so glad it's out there because it proves i was writing before ai wormed its way into everything
ahh i have some art to post... hopefully tomorrow. i forgor about bsky again
we've just been getting less and less snow each year. this is the first time in literal years it's stuck around for more than a day. wish we could fix it all and have normal weather again :(
it's been snowing for days here... feels so odd. i remember sledding and building forts and having to fetch bread and cigarettes for my stepmother (uphill and with snow up to my knees, feeling like an explorer). i don't think my nephew will ever experience that...

for once, it's not navki!

setting: office christmas party. coworkers are pretending to be train station announcers while setting up the karaoke mics and i'm bouncing around the room rizzing up the chicks with my weird creaky bendy fingers (they do not like them)
Thank you so much! :D
A sleek, grinning, worm-like black creature on a simple background
oh wyrm?

Art of Hornet, a character from the game Hollow Knight: Silksong, standing in a pale field of scribbles, her weapon drawn as she's facing a floating black orb
posting this here as well. done on a samsung tablet while work was slow

existing online for me has always been about posting art and while my art does get interactions, the rest of my posts just feel like shouting into the void. to me. idk i don't have any social media aside from bsky and tumblr and i can't get used to posting personal stuff unprompted so, quiet it is?
i know i've been quiet as hell on this account and it's mostly because i have no art to post. but also because i usually hang out on tumblr (same username). i really don't know how to use this website in a way that feels logical to me
HOWEVER i did manage to complete my silksong playthrough yesterday! i didn't think i was gonna manage but i made it in time. now i can sit at my work desk and ponder the bugs without worrying about spoilers :}
A gray-and-gold dragon sitting on a tree trunk covered by vague greenery
my vacation is over and i had to go back to work today... one step closer to leaving it all behind and becoming a hermit

An image titled "What is a home?" followed by four iterations of the same cat person; a scared-looking bruised child next to a chain-link fence with text saying "it's a place?"; a proud teen holding a paper with Country Level written on it, and "a dream?" written above them; the same cat at a bar, looking fondly at something unseen and surrounded by purple mist, with "a person?" written next to them; and finally, sitting on the floor next to a wilting plant with their claws out and an angry expression. The text next to them says "is it a feeling?"
It's gone.

I did try not to be too obvious as to what my previous username/accounts are, but I did do commissions and such for a lot of people in my community. Wonder if they would find me familiar. I wish we could reconnect, in a way, but I also think getting some distance and branching out was good for me.
I often wonder what happened to a lot of the people I knew when I was active on dA. Most of the ones I was actually close to are now inactive. I hope life led them somewhere nice. I hope they remember me too. I wonder if they would recognize me if they saw me now?
Can't wait to explore! Will you be playing it too? :D
