It tried to rainbow on the south side right as the bright pink sunset peaked, reflecting off of the storm clouds to the east over the lake. Almost!

I’m declaring the city of Chicago under a rainbow watch, none spotted yet but conditions are ripe

Ground floor crazy for arches, with triple window in center, doors within arched recesses on each side. Framing all this stuff? Wreathed columns of course. Above the window a neat sign: First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Over the last several years, more of us have become more aggressive as peds and are stepping out with a hand raised, asking drivers to stop. We've seen an increase in the number of drivers who DO stop, either when we step out or when drivers see us and slow/stop without us asking. :)

This is the crossing at Ridge Park. The ped crossing signs have helped but drivers speeding and failing to yield is still a problem. Wish we had a speed camera here.

I think that female northern cardinals are more striking than males (all red) because of the subtlety and variety of coloration, such as in this lady who visited this morning for breakfast.
