MCHD: Emergency naloxone now available at two new locations in Gwinn and Ishpeming MARQUETTE COUNTY, Mich. (WBUP/WJMN) — Naloxone, an FDA-approved medication that can reverse an opioid overdose, is now available in public locations across Marquette County.

Naloxone boxes offer a discrete option for the community to obtain this life-saving medicine, according to MCHD. The boxes are located outside of the business and are available to anyone in the community free of charge.

Investigators with GIANT said that in late 2025, they first learned about multiple people bringing methamphetamine and heroin to Gogebic County, Michigan, and Iron County, Wisconsin, from downstate Wisconsin in rental vehicles.

Jury begins deliberation in U.P. murder trial after defense, prosecution rest their cases ESCANABA, Mich. (WBUP/WJMN) — The jury is now deliberating on the guilt or innocence of 35-year-old Tavaris Jackson, accused of killing the pregnant 22-year-old Harley Corwin on July 3,2023.
