Sometimes I get a bit stuck drawing Doodlecats. I've been drawing them for nearly 15 years. I don't feel like I can ever change the basics of Doodlecats but I can go back to real cats and see what I can take from them to make Doodlecats better, if that makes sense?

When I started Doodlecats, they all had straight stick legs. Now I like to look at anatomy and work out how to adapt it to my style. It's fun (and sometimes really tricky!)
I need to find an alternative to these velcro straps as they keep sticking to my drawing glove

I'm still getting used to drawing with the pencil strapped to my fingers. It's definitely the least painful way I've found to draw and not lose accuracy etc so I'm pleased that I'm able to do a little bit more.

but it did feel like it was aggravating my thumb a lot less. I had tried strapping the pencil to my hand before but I had always included my thumb so it never really worked.
I can't draw doodlecats with my fingers as it's not accurate enough but I tried strapping my pencil to my fingers so that the action would be similar. I won't really know until later if it's worked (a lot of my pain really kicks in a few hours after I've done something) ...

I've been experimenting today.
If any of you follow my other page, you'll have seen that I've been able to draw some birds with my fingers on my phone. It's made me realise quite how much it's using my thumb that causes me pain.
