I liked borrowing these books from the library as a kid. This caught my attention with how cute they looked. I honestly thought it was just a club for sports team mascots at the time. The furry connection came well after I had joined the fandom. ^^
I also had the same experience with Guinness Book of World Records 2008. Tho in this version, you even had a photo of them that caught my attention.
Personally, I would've rather kept the stripes black on all the color variants or have the facial features and paws match the stripes. Changing one without changing the other kinda breaks and makes the face pop out more than it needs to.
