Crayfish Closure Follows Salmon Antibiotic Deployment - Tasmanian Times The commercial rock lobster fishery south of the D'Entrecasteaux Channel is now closed effective 15 November 2025

Lobster fishery off Bruny Island in TAS closed on eve of the opening of fishing season due to antibiotic use by the salmon farms.
No indication of how long for. Must be a devastating blow for fishermen approaching Xmas.

Hanging out in Tonga where this “Tsunami Rock” , a boulder chock full of coral has been launched up onto Tongatapu. Wikipedia says it happened in 1917 when a village was also destroyed, the plaque at the site says thousands of years ago. Keen to ask Tongan geos all about it tomorrow 🧪⚒️

Yes it is weird unless they have data they are keeping quiet. Which would also be weird for a publicly listed company. I don’t know what the rules are around this sort of thing in US but here there are rules around what things can be called.

This is a legitimate way how junior companies raise money to get a good prospect started if they don’t have money but it is also a cycle some people use to make a living.

Do a press release saying oooh it looks just like “pick commodity and mineralisation style of the day”. Collect money from investors and ideally also subsidies from government agencies. Quietly fade out citing changing market forces, problems with X,YZ. I’m not saying that’s the case here…

Super common practice in Australia. Set up exploration company, acquire the exploration rights to ground in a region where other people have found mineralisation or better still mined it. Do no work except to review historical data. 1/2
