@aeronautapp.com I am right that Aeronaut doesn’t really have keyboard navigation yet? I really miss that, in Ivory I can open the app, browse the feed and even dive deeper and back up – all without touching the mouse.

Heard a lad earlier talking about ‘Belgian whistles’
“A basic website costs 10k or 25k upwards if you want all the Belgian whistles”
BELGIAN WHISTLES
Just curious, why the nested calc()?
“Een universiteit is geen plaats voor tijdswinst en efficiëntie” 😂
Fijn dat jullie nu ook satire publiceren, Apache!
A reminder: it doesn't have to be this way.
Mexico has a hell of a lot more to lose than Europe by angering Trump. Yet this is the response of its president just now.
This isn't a global phenomenon. Why have Europeans proven to be so uniquely cowardly over the past year?
Yeah I kinda get why they went with 26, but it still would’ve been nicer to just stick with 25.
Now that the year is actually over, I’m really looking forward to all the apps preparing their yearly overviews. Dropping any day now, right? Right?
You do know that you can see Instagram without the shenanigans just by clicking the logo and choosing “Following”, right?
Finally got out for a hike again a couple of weeks ago, and witnessed some peak fall colors. First time with my new Sony α6700, and I think I really like the results!
It’s practising falling out of windows
I have no nostalgia for analog media, but perhaps I do miss music not being that damn easy? Do kids these days™ still feel as strong a connection to music that is just entirely ubiquitous and frictionless? Maybe that's just my snobbery speaking though…
I remember, not so long ago, hearing DJs spin tunes we would hunt down for months, and eventually the thrill of finding them in a record store or some obscure forum. Collections of mysterious songs randomly taped from the radio. Carefully building a library, and even being proud of your discoveries.
With the advent of streaming services, I sometimes wonder if we haven't lost something valuable there. You can listen to virtually anything, and instantly share it with anybody.
Faam is relatief. 😬
Finished a new movie, from camping right next to a glacier in the Italian Alps back in July. Come for the views, stay for the views!
Sad how reviews on Letterboxd have been mostly taken over by oneliner jokes and the most fanboyish five-star reviews. You really have to dig deep sometimes to find some genuine thoughts about certain movies.
Windsor Castle Tuesday night. Four of us arrested for 'malicious communications'. Now released.

Yet here we are in 2025 bickering whether Israel can be part of Eurosong, and how cancelling concerts by people who support the genocide "does damage to our international reputation".
Watched ‘Under African Skies’ last weekend, about Paul Simon’s trip to South-Africa to record Graceland. It was baffling to learn how Simon got so much flack for violating the rigorously upheld cultural boycott (music, arts, sports, …) of the country under Apartheid.
CEOs posting videos with “let us know in the comments what you think about this new feature” and then closing the comments because of too much negativity.
The flag of Israel, except the star of David has been replaced by a blue swastika.
Surprised to see so little controversy about the new official flag of Israel?
Andor season two: more of the same – which is to say, it’s still some of the best tv I’ve seen in years, but the wow-factor understandably is a little smaller. That final bit of the soundtrack is already a classic.
Eyyyy, happy birthday!
Everyone but Israel?
Great stuff! Wondering if we'll all soon be using icons with CSS shape()s rather than inline SVGs. I can only see benefits (cacheable icons!) except that we'll need to build a development pipeline to add and edit icons. A conversion library like this might help with converting a folder of SVGs.
“It’s not that we don’t know enough, it’s that the system is not built to listen when the answers are inconvenient.”
Fascinating portrait and harrowing story…
