Fellow writers: I am deeply saddened to share that if we want the rewards of having written, we must submit to the mortifying ordeal of writing
This is just going to always be my go-to response to this kind of thing anthonymoser.github.io/writing/ai/h...
oh cool Iβve been meaning to learn anxiety
As someone constantly battling Major Depressive Disorder AND Generalized Anxiety Disorder - YES. RETIRE THIS PHRASE.
I wish I had the *ability* to not be depressed. All the shit I get done is WHILE BEING DEPRESSED.

Are you really a writer if you don't typo in your social media
I guess Bluesky is still just a place for me to post when I did something, since I still havent't posted since my last promotion, haha.
I wrote another substack post. It's about why I made a substack.

Thank you for reading if you do.
It's a very personal piece, and completely spoils the game In Stars and Time by @insertdisc5.com, so please play that first if you have any interest (and you should, it's really good).
Maybe I'll do more with the substack? But if this is the only thing that lives there, I'm satisfied.

I'm a fiction writer, so writing something like this isn't usually what I go for. But in a year that motivation has been low at least in part due to my anxiety, I chase whatever I can get.
The game hit me right where all of my anxieties were just as I was starting treatment. So I felt compelled to write about that.
I pitched this... article? Personal essay? Piece of writing around a little to no luck, but I still felt compelled to write it.
So I made a substack. And I wrote it.
Hello. Breaking my "I've been here for a while but I haven't posted" streak with this!
It's been a bad year. Alongside the context of the US and world being a disaster, I had a bit of a breakdown, and received a diagnosis for Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
I also played a really good video game.
It is becoming increasingly clear that the best word processing software for writers is a Notepad .txt document with a handgun kept next to the keyboard in case it tries anything funny.
