In Nederland bepaalt gas de prijzen met name in de ochtend- en avondpiek. Stijgt de gasprijs, dan ook die stroomuren. Dat werkt ook door in alle vaste/variabele energiecontracten. Bij dynamische energieprijzen kun je die moment met bijv. je EV of warmtepomp zo veel mogelijk vermijden.

There are now 10,000 EV charging points on the streets of Amsterdam. In addition, there are over 6,000 public charging points in locations such as car parks. How does this compare to other European cities?

Hah interesting: electric cars are significantly cheaper in Denmark and Sweden (for once), and it's likely mostly due to a much larger market share and more competitive market, although Sweden has a bigger market overall.
"..flexible and dynamic pricing on the public charging network could also help reduce costs for users. By aligning tariffs with periods of lower wholesale electricity prices, these measures can make public charging more affordable and improve the overall cost competitiveness of EVs."
Regarding the questions whether data centres may be denied grid access (or worse, displace industrial electrification): The Danish national TSO has a 63GW backlog of connection requests (vs a current total 7GW demand) and is now asking the government for permission to say no to more data centres.

10/ 🔌 The public charging infrastructure is now growing faster than the electric car fleet, especially for fast chargers. Mathematically, fewer and fewer electric cars have to share a fast charging point. The charging infrastructure is therefore no longer likely to be a major bottleneck (Fig. 7).
9/ 🚚 The dynamics are different for commercial vehicles: new electric registrations are growing steadily for trucks, and particularly rapidly for semi-trucks – albeit from a low level. Buses are already the most electrified. Hydrogen, on the other hand, continues to play a negligible role (Fig. 6).
🔌🚗 Electric mobility in Germany: Untapped Potential!
Electric mobility has been slow to take off, but there are positive trends. I summarize them in the new @diw.de Weekly Report, based on data collected on the #OpenEnergyTracker. (English version of a report first published in 🇩🇪 in February)

Public EV charging points per EU Member State. If Amsterdam were an EU Member State, it would rank 11th with 16,269 public EV charging points, ahead of 17 countries.
There are also other public EV charging points, such as in car parks, at shops and other publicly accessible locations. This brings Amsterdam to over 16,000 charging points. This means that the city has more public charging points than countries such as Portugal or Poland.
Fascinating stuff: confirms Chinese investment now mainly target new EV/battery factories in EU. Described as “low tech transfer” supply hubs these are mostly aimed at assembly, not adding much local value, that sidestep EU duties. CATL in Spain promises tech sharing, but hard evidence is scarce.
This is actually quite smart. Many of the EU’s major trading partners - like Canada, Japan, South Korea - already run their own versions of local content rules.
The IAA could now become a tool to negotiate reciprocal openings among trusted partners.
After months of wrangling and an epic list of delays, the Commission has finally released its Industrial Accelerator Act.
This could turn into one of the EU’s most consequential industrial policy files in years - and the proposal is honestly not a bad place to start.

With its first Made-in-Europe policy, the EU is embracing economic realism and adapting to the new, more brutal global trade reality.
This is how Europeans can start learning the language of industrial powers.

Today, it is celebrating its 10,000th!
From 100 to 10,000 in 15 years: that means that on average, approximately one #EV charging station (with two charging points) was built per day in Amsterdam.
