I'd say it's healthy to be skeptical of all claims to history of that nature. Historians contradict each other and make discoveries and conjectures often. Not to suggest some history isnt well founded but it's a murky world.

Correct. Though proving he didn't exist would be just as flimsy as proving he did. I'd be skeptical of anyone claiming that, too.

The reality is there was probably a dude, more likely a composite of people, that inspired the stories. The stories are where the real power lies.

haha most of what I've always played is strategy. Before my hand quit working I enjoyed MOBAs, and I grew up with platformers. I'd still play platformers if I could.
