Read through the Sonic Crossworlds tie-in comic. It was a fun time, nothing crazy, but it was interesting to see them address a bunch of reasons for why they have to stay in their cars and canβt use their normal abilities during these races.

Watched another YΕ«saku Matsuda thriller from the same director called The Resurrection of the Golden Wolf. It's about a skilled criminal outplaying everyone else in the story while leading a double life as a bumbling salaryman. Great setup and ending but bloated in the middle.

Just watched The Beast to Die (1980) which is the first movie I've seen with YΕ«saku Matsuda. It was a really powerful first exposure for him which really showed his range. The visuals for this were really clean with some very tense and uncomfortable scenes.

Thinking about how everyone hated βSonicβs friendsβ in the 2000s but now it feels like people have so much love for even the most obscure characters thatβve barely appeared in the games. It probably has to do with the voice acting or not giving them enough to do in the past.
Batman was always the superhero I fucked with the most, even before I considered myself a comic fan. It must have been growing up with the Nolan films and Arkham games. Itβs so awesome to be a Sonic fan and see Shadow and Rouge crossover with Batmanβs sphere of all things!

Replayed Lost in Nightmares in RE5. I still don't think it's that great of an expansion, but the aesthetics are great. With the classic easter egg, these environments look as good as some of the pre-rendered stuff from the GameCube era of the series but in real-time.

Just beat RE5 for the first time on PC. I enjoyed it a lot more than I did previously, though there are still some sections that are a drag. The game still has amazing aesthetics and I love some of the bosses that feel like they could be from MGS.
Nah, I just used a GC controller plugged into my Wii. Surprisingly, the button prompts still showed up as wiimote buttons.

Tangle and Whisperβs voices sound great! Theyβre pretty much exactly how I imagined them. Now I really wanna know what Surge is gonna actually sound like.
Just read through issue #84 of IDW Sonic and it was really solid. Thereβs a decent mystery being setup and I like the dynamic between Belle and Sage. Iβm hoping we see some development for Metal Sonic and he isnβt just a tool being used by a new villain.
Seeing that Yakuza 3 retconned Mine ending was real.
Learned how to mod photo mode into Street Fighter 6... this is an essential feature.
Just replayed RE4 on Wii. Tons of iconic visuals from locations to enemy designs. I think people exaggerate how little horror there is in here, but the story is very "stream of consciousness". You gotta respect how well it came together regardless of its trouble development.

Just beat Mega Man 7! Pretty much what youβd expect from the classic style in 16-bit. Cool backgrounds and boss designs. I wouldnβt say this is anything groundbreaking for the series, but it was well executed. Final boss was tough too.
