No, this disables YOU showing as an imposter to OTHERS.
I have had this setting has off for months, unfortunately it only appears what you show as.
If you turn this off/on, you will see other people as imposters either way.

Just recently got fiber internet and courtesy of my company I was able to upgrade my router finally. I upgraded to a UCG Max and holy... it's SO SMOL and the speeds are SO CRAZY and the UI is SO NICE. It's identical to my enterprise gear I use at work.
