I don't think of James as a deadname, but of one that deserves rest. He did his best (there is a lot to unpack in that sentence and does not reflect anyone else's trans experience). I went by Evan before (first) puberty and again now. I am a sentimental fool and wonder where this will take me.

Thought about peppering in my experiences as an openly transgender business owner of two openly queer shops. For reasons of education, perspective, and hope. Something I don't feel safe doing on the other platforms (as LGBTQIA+ posts are getting flagged anyway).
