This is going to be really important as World War Epstein affects oil and gas prices and focuses everyone's mind on the importance of energy independence. 3/3
In #Lincolnshire there are loads of NSIPs, and a lot is made of their impact on farmland. But if this site is up to date, we're still waiting for many to come on line still. 2/
The UK energy dashboard has a new feature - you can look up the output of some individual sites, and it lists the major ones. Something that stands out is the relatively small number of really big solar ones. 1/

Just heard that enquiries to various car companies in the UK about their pure electric models have increased 'tenfold' in the last week. Interesting not petrol hybrids, which obviously require petrol, all the time... because they're petrol powered vehicles.
Just an observation.
Certain species of life, yes.
Given that Β£150k is below the threshold of materiality for many councils, this reads like it means Β£150k per authority? For 72 authorities. But, it's really not written clearly enough.
I just attended a perfectly informative DEI course about equalities law. Then, at the end, the instructor ruined it by demonstrating his long, detailed text prompt for the plagiarism machine. Wtf is wrong with people?

You get points for turning up, even if you can only manage a couple of steps. That's the rule.
Clive is high on my list of MPs I'd like to see in a refreshed cabinet. That can't happen if he leaves.
Reform want to scrap the Equality Act 2010.
So what has the Equality Act done for us? π
Lincolnshire is certainly one of the most vulnerable places in the country when it comes to sea level rises. Whole swathes of the Fens are below sea level, and it costs astronomic amounts to pump water out to sea and keep replenishing the beaches with sand.
#Lincolnshire County Council have disappointed on the environment lately. But at least some people understand what's at stake and are prepared to act.
I've been reading Sadiq Khan's Breathe, where he talks about overturning the political consensus that environmental issues are fringe and not vote winners, to improve air quality. It's hopeful. Sometimes politicians need a nudge to believe they can change things.
That suggests they didn't campaign *at all*, leaving the way free for Reform to take the right-wing vote.
ICYMI. Cutting ESOL is a backwards step and dog-whistle politics won't help Lincolnshire. www.loutheye.co.uk/29-12-25-eso...
That map disguises how bad things are in coastal towns like Skegness, compared with inland villages and market towns in East Lindsey.

I'm grateful to Amanda Suddaby for speaking up against fracking in #Lincolnshire. Keep it banned.
He's so close.

A persistent failure to invest in local communities leaves people cynical about local government. Investment matters.
AI safety seems increasingly like an oxymoron.

FYI, Academia.edu has changed its terms of service to give an irrevocable worldwide license for anything uploaded to its site to be used for generative AI. I do not consent to this and have pulled all my papers.
This is why we need to build council homes and keep them council-owned. Give renters an alternative. It's the best way to prevent these abuses long-term.
