Join the SocialFusion: Mastodon+Bluesky beta
Available on iOS
I'm not a developer. This started with an idea: what if I could just see both timelines in one place?
Thanks to Claude Code, that idea is now a reality.
If you try it, I genuinely want to hear what you think. This is beta. Your feedback shapes what it becomes.

Iβve been living in both Mastodon and Bluesky for a while, and the context switching finally broke me.
So I built SocialFusion: a native iOS app that unifies both timelines in one feed.

The arguments I have received from the pro-ICE world are βit all happened so fastβ but looking down your barrel through an open window at the side of a personβs head and pulling the trigger is murder.

Yeah, I know the whole thing is a bit silly, but it made me smile.
Itβs just mind blowing to me that I can go from and idea to a working app in an hour, without being a programmer!

Dark splash screen for the iOS app βUndercast,β labeled βA Plex Music Client.β A blue house-shaped music icon appears above the app name. Below is text prompting the user to sign in and a large blue button labeled βLink Plex Account.β iOS status bar is visible at the top.
Undercast music library screen in dark mode showing the Albums tab. A grid of George Harrison album covers is visible, including βAll Things Must Pass,β βBrainwashed,β βCloud Nine,β and βThe Concert for Bangladesh.β Bottom navigation shows Library, Playlists, Search, and Settings.
Now Playing screen in Undercast showing βHere Comes the Sunβ by George Harrison from The Concert for Bangladesh. The album cover features a child seated on the ground framed by an arch. Playback controls, progress bar, and volume slider appear on a dark background.
So now, I can pair my podcasts with any music from my Plex library.
And all it took was an hour and a couple of vibe coding tools.
Since my podcast app of choice is Overcast, I decided to call my dinky little app Undercast π.

I tweaked it for another 20 mins or so, giving Claude Code a few prompts to refine some details.
I designed an app icon in Gemini with Nano Banana and installed it on my phone.
Boom. Podcast background music.

I did some research with Perplexity and had it help me write up a spec for a basic SwiftUI audio player that uses the Plex API.
I had Cursor flesh it out into a detailed plan.
Then Claude Code took that plan and got to work building the app.
20 minutes later, I had a working prototype.

Sometimes I like a little background music to go with my podcasts.
So that got me thinking.
What if I wrote a music client that plays tracks from my Plex library using AVAudioSessionCategoryAmbient so I can listen alongside my podcasts in Overcast?
