I know you’re all like me, and you also wait until night to read when you are up to your favorite Moria chapters of LOTR (the walk in the dark with the dog has the Andy Serkis brilliant adaptation playing).

The ABC Murders was so good too! Those are unique and memorable characters that have that intangible that you not only believe they are from the real world but that you've bumped into them before.

I read it recently and it was quite a *mind blown* one for me, start to finish. And the prequel feel of backstory to Poirot was so enjoyable.

I've read enough Agatha at this point to state boldly that "And then there were none" was her best.

Absolutely ahead of its time and I'd love to see her notes for how she approached writing it.

It is so good! I just read The Murder of Roger Ackroyd (am on an Agatha Christie binge too), which was superb. I was not as clueless as to the murderer as I was in And Then There Were None, but it has every bit as much in terms of fun lines, character personality, and story, and I love Poirot.
