I sometimes wish Rust had a clone keyword when creating a move closure so I could create a clone of all the captured values (if they all implemented it) instead of doing let value_clone = value.clone() each time

its actually really cool that instead of having my own account system i can now just integrate atproto oauth into whatever project i'm making and instantly have everything i need in terms of user identity

And what is that going to do developers that cant get into the industry because they don't have that experience and cannot begin to make an income where they could start learning? It's just pulling the ladder up behind even moreso than already has happened for beginners
That is an exceedingly bad faith representation of what I just said. There is a stark difference between saying "I'd like employers to keep hiring based on actual ability to code" and "I want everyone to start farming entirely by hand" and we both know that.
I’m also talking about those online who say that hand written code is now “an artisanal skill” basically reducing anyone who can’t use these things to “old fashioned” even though the reality is sometimes people are just not wealthy enough. The “use it or get left behind” mindset is a big issue
The neglect I’m bringing up is (primarily) the employers that are straying away from human first work.
I’ve seen job listings start to require experience with code models which sets a harsh expectation on anyone trying to apply as it forces them to have the capability to engage with this tech
But that “for free” is not free, it is the price of modern hardware capable to run said open model which is prohibitively expensive for a large amount of people

A windows dialog: the window title reads “Bunny” and the contents is a yellow triangle with a black exclamation mark with an image of a grey small bunny next to it. The available buttons below are “Ok” and “Exit”

A bunny standing on some grass with a milk bottle next to it. The caption reads: “I Am Nice, Clean, Honest, Innocent, Smart, Sweet, Suckling Little Baby, I Have 0 Enemies And 1000,00000 Friends, I Love To Write My Name Anywhere I Can, And I Am Safe And Sweet With My Savings, I Have 999,999 Credit Cards That I Use To Buy Olive Oil And Arrows For My Toys, And I Eat Healthy”

My system will be taking inspiration from the ATProtocol, from now on you must send all messages to us with the 'system-front-proxy' header to ensure it reaches the right person
The default value for when the header is missing will be 'Lyna' until the cutoff point of 2026-06-01
chore(flake): update ageRange

the other ~30mb was pre-refresh, so cut that down to 220ish on this run (as devtools reported)
firefox devtools: 780 requests | 222.62 MB / 215.67 MB transferred
@skytube.video I just want to point out (potentially a bug) that when visiting the trending page (while logged out) my browser requested over 250mb of resources before I had hovered or selected a video at all. Is this intentional? On my network it took over a few minutes to stop
waiting for the great bsky cdn webp move so i can update the porxie imgproxy presets to match the new stuff
