Around the 175th District: First public Girl Scout cookie sale was in Philadelphia in 1933. The Girl Scouts use the funds from the cookie sale to reinvest in local programs, support troop activities and fund community projects.

The Port of Philadelphia is one of busiest ports in the country - this is a huge investment in our future workforce.

As Chair of the Community College Caucus, I'm thrilled to announce that an $8 million federal grant was awarded to @delawareccc to expand openings in its apprenticeship programs, add new career options and allow an innovative approach to shipbuilding.

The program is based in Harrisburg at the PA State Capitol Complex, where you'll have an opportunity to work with state legislators on committees or even in a Leadership office.

Workers in 22 states will receive a minimum wage increase this year, including our closest neighboring states.

@pahousedems.com have passed legislation to raise PA's minimum wage for the first time in over 15 years but Senate Republicans don't think hardworking Pennsylvanians deserve a raise.

Thankful to Gov. Shapiro for these grants! 2026 will bring so many tourists and celebrations to our city and we must ensure that our streets are safe and easily accessible.
