Ubuntu's cowsay doesn't include satanic.cow which is FUCKING BULLSHIT (heh) but yes, this is my favorite terminal emulator and you should try it out and maybe support Wez

when I first heard of it, I was like "wat?". Having had it, I would describe it to other brits as similar to a scone but with light/white gravy. I don't believe that I've experienced a truly good US biscuit; I just haven't been to the right place to have a good one I think.

Most people I'm following here are outside my norm, because my normal circle is not here. It's interesting but not as engaging for me personally. Most content I see here is complaints about trust/moderation, so the impression I have is that no one really likes it here, and I see little other content

No. It hasn't clicked. It seems like it should be simple to express the data transformation goal, but is always just out of reach. I use `jq .` for pretty printing, but it's often faster/easier to do ad-hoc stuff with grep than figuring out jq's syntax, which is a shame!

I heard about https://github.com/ogham/dog recently, but haven't tried to use it yet for similar reasons: if I'm on a remote machine there's little chance of it being installed already.

FWIW, I tend to use `+short` when trying to focus in on the important stuff. I haven't bothered to learn more options or how to make it the default because I'm often on a remote machine without my personal dotfiles when I'm using it.

It felt like it got a LOT of airplay in the UK back then! I remember that my cousins had it on tape and just played it on repeat on road trips.
