As for the actual writing, I use pretty much everything @scribeforge.bsky.social publishes. I think I have every workbook they sell, lol!
It works best in Goodnotes, but there might be other options too if you don't have that app. Let me know if you want the Etsy link for it!
I don't know of any specific to authors or publishing, but I've been using an undated digital one for years now that has pages for allllll kinds of things.
Daily diary, gratitude, social media planning, goal setting, and loads of other things PLUS beautiful blank pages you can use for anything.
Tell me more about what a planner for indie authors does. I might need one too!
Is it to help you map out your writing sessions? Book marketing? Or is it like a regular calendar/diary?
PSA π§
LOL, when I opened the new skirts I just bought, I put on the full length one and immediately ran out to the living room to twirl it.
It's an AMAZING skirt for twirling, I'm completely smitten with it.
Twirling is good therapy. A necessary respite from the current horrors. π
You can sew? I keep finding new reasons why I wish we were neighbors!
Oh the things we would cook up together...
I'm normally a pants gal, but I just bought 3 new skirts I'm in LOVE with, so I guess I'm joining the overrated camp!
YESSSSSSS!!!
I knew, deep down, you were a fancy pants! π
I figured as much, but wanted to check before just scrolling in case you had a friend who makes them I should support.
Thanks! You look AWESOME!!!
AWESOME!!!!! Nailed it!
Ooooh, that skull headpiece perfectly matches my old DnD character!! Can you share where to get it? (Or who made it?)
Would LOVE to complete that character's fit!
I'd love to read this! Whether it ends in bloodshed or not, I'd love a story about a normal gal with a magical pet who gets kidnapped by assassins.
Write it! (Or at least enjoy plotting it out for fun!)
Anyhoo, she made a comment about not owning any clothes that aren't "practical."
But all these items are straight out of my everyday closet!
I *usually* don't put all the things together in one fit like this...
But sometimes I actually look like this when I leave the house for lunch or a hike. π
Flat lay photo of clothes arranged on a bed to form an outfit that looks pirate-y. Including a blue hanfu, black corset, grey and black striped bloomers, grey and black striped scarf, a wooden katana and a hand fan. A black cat is sitting on the bed near the head of the outfit.
Flat lay photo of clothes arranged on a bed to form an outfit that looks pirate-y. Includes a gold silk vest with a hood, a short, black and gold ruffled silk skirt made from Indian silk, a bustle with 3 tiers of ruffles in black, gold, and teal made from Indian silk, and long black bloomers. Also pictured is a chatelaine with a bosun whistle and magnifying glass, and a necklace made of what looks like 3 layers of gold coins.

Includes a flowy, grey shirt with pirate-style sleeves, black corset, grey and black striped bloomers, grey and black thigh holster, grey and black striped scarf, and a belt made of 3 tiers of silver chain link chains. Also pictured is a black and grey striped head scarf and a parasol with wooden structure and black fabric.
Flat lay photo of clothes arranged on a bed to form an outfit that looks pirate-y. It includes a military-style coat made with black silk brocade and silver military buttons over a long black skirt made from Indian silk with a beautiful embroidered design done in gold thread that covers the entire skirt from top to bottom and about a third of the skirt wide. Also pictured is a silk brocade cravat where the neck would be.
Trying to decide which outfit to wear to pirate weekend at the Ren Faire this year and I showed one of these photos to an online friend who only ever sees me on camera (not IRL.)
Any guesses which one I chose in the end?
I also heard from someone else that it was a water bottle someone had forgotten up on the catwalks. Whatever the story, I'm glad he survived!
I was a little worried when he said something was dripping on him... π¬
My first thought was the blood rave scene from Blade. My next thought was it's so hot that the sweat was condensing on the ceiling & dripping on him.
Was so relieved to find out it was a leaky fog machine!

It was sooooo good! Loved that setlist!
(Not nearly enough room to dance and thrash and headbang though...) π
Photo of a dark concert arena bathed in red light with a slatted ceiling that looks like the inside of a giant parasol or UFO.
Shout out to everyone else at the Oakland NIN concert right now!
Worth every upvote!! πββ¬πΎ

A plaque rests on a store shelf full of pink Halloween decorations. The plaque is white with a pink frame and says "The horrors persist but so do I" in black. There are also black bats on it.
Sometimes the craft store gets me.
I plan on sharing some of those cut scenes on my blog once I know which ones make the cut and which don't.
This matches what I've learned from Secrets of Story by Matt Bird too.
You may have to cut out a ton of great material because it doesn't relate to the character's problem and follow the but/then sequence.
And you *will* cut it out if you want your story to be popular!
Congrats!! π₯³ππ
