We have tried to implement a Direct Message that works on Bluesky using ATProtocol, using RSA and AES encryption, a unique key to the profile, a unique key and date change to the message, and the rest using Notification and it worked well.

The "concept and style" of "follow/mute/block" feeds the monster that lives in our concept of what others think of us.
Eventually, the fear of "I might be {unfollowed, muted, blocked} if I do this (post, RP, Like, etc.)" will make people hesitate to post freely. It is not something that can be managed through personal management or consensus building among participants.
