On their discussion of AI use and productivity, I was surprised, because I guess I didn't think AI was widely being used 2019-2021, but I'm admittedly always going to be behind technological curves, b/c I'm kind of a luddite.

scholarly productivity without knowing who was and who was not caretaking (also...men could have also been caretaking and caretaking could involve both kids or parents, etc.). I think scholars should be careful of thinking through COVID/caretaking impacts and try to not make generalizations.

When talking about women, they noted there didn't seem to be a COVID/caretaking impact, but I'm not sure how they would know which of the women were in a caretaking posture during COVID. I doubt you would be able to make meaningful analysis on how increased caretaking may have impacted

I found two things interesting about their analysis. First, their discussion of COVID/caretaking. I would think potential COVID lags wouldn't be fully present in the 2019-2021 time period, b/c of the lags in publishing times.
