The Seattle Social Housing Public Development Authority was established three years ago. In that time, it has created zero homes. It has created no development pipeline. It has, however, spent and obligated millions of dollars to hire and fire a CEO who never lived in Washington state, pay questionable consultants and embark on a hiring spree.

Distressingly, it appears Parks returned around $120,000 of State TIB funding that they didn't spend on safety improvements. We all know how hard it is to get infrastructure funding. So now when there's not the funding we need for speed bumps, sidewalk repairs, or other needed changes.

What a farce. The PDC found that Markham McIntyre violated the law when he used Seattle resources to campaign for Bruce Harrell. But the penalty is just a friendly reminder to not do that.
