The underlying issue is they are trying to maximize their commission (and the companies profit), not to do customer service. If you leave (or threaten to) that is when they pull out the best deals. Truly maddening.

Some are speculating that this will be a big obstacle for the Jays; but they have enough pieces, if they are firing on all cylinders, to cover from these kind of injuries. We'll need some guys to get hot, and hopefully to avoid other injuries, but it's possible.
Second, there are a flurry of news with things getting started, the biggest of which is that Anthony Santander is likely out for about 5 months for shoulder surgery. I'm not so mad he's out with injury, but I'm wondering why he didn't make this decision a bit earlier?
First up ... Pitchers and Catchers are reporting, so that means another season of #BlueJays baseball is just around the corner. Exciting!!
I'm going to miss him, cherish the memories he's given us, and wish him well. I just wish he could have won a world series or two with us.
I was shocked that the Jays didn't resign him, thinking he was testing the market to see what money made sense and then getting the Jays to pay that. Him and Vladdy have been key upcoming pieces for a while, and I couldn't have imagined he wouldn't be here for his whole career.
With a couple days to digest it, I want to say something about Bo Bichette leaving the Blue Jays.
While Bo wasn't my fav player, he was a solid presence; always getting a hit, going all out to make a defensive play. Maybe that all-out play got him injured at times, but it was his approach.
A nice polite "reminder" and thanks for using can do wonders. If that doesn't work, it would depend on how much it irritates you. There are lots of options.
Honestly, it depends on context. I've often run into situations where people assumed "free/open source" meant they could do whatever with the software.
So I'd start from that point, "hey, glad to see you've used my work, but a condition of it's use is attribution which you seemed to have missed"...
On the other site, a bunch of #BlueJays fans were posting their gift hauls and of course some sour Dodgers fans had to try and rain on their parade.
Thank goodness this is a small minority of LA fans, but what sore winners these guys are to rob other fans of the joy of their gifts?
I did point out on the bad site that Santa couldn't actually work for ICE -- he's NOT lazy or incompetent, and those are requirements to work there.
Only thing is he's portly, but he'd outrun any of those ICE guys in a second.
If your going to go for a CVSS, you might as well look for that perfect score...
So, let's see what's up at the bad site...
"Keep writing with X Premium, now null% off (for a limited time)"
Wow, null% off, what a DEAL!!
(I'll never pay for Twitter)
This is proof that artists DO have some leverage in the whole Ticketmaster monopoly system -- because as it is right now, there are feelings that there isn't any artist power.
Ticketmaster/Live Nation should 100% be broken up, but in the meantime artists should push back.
Okay, now I'm wondering what a Corn-Hub would look like. :P
Since the offseason began, I've seen more Dodger fans complaining about how the Jays and their fans "celebrated too much/early". My guess is this is a vocal minority, but I'm amazed they seem to need to put down the other team rather than celebrate their own?
It's okay to celebrate your team!!
Some Twitter payment due today that required Musk to shed some shares or some such?
Kind of wish there was a comeback of "Well your a donkey" to that comment, but I don't think the press pool is equipped to bash down on a public figure, but they should!
Honestly this shows how social media is really a good thing sometimes, where something "bad" was morphed into something very good.
EVERYONE should celebrate their accomplishments, and we should cheer them, not criticize them.
We should value them as people, not as objects.
Yay PhD ladies!!
There's a new trend on the "bad site" which I have to say, I'm kind of loving.
Some dork tried to dunk on a lady who was celebrating getting her PhD, with "no one says 'look at the degree on that chick'".
She pushed back, and I've seen hundreds of other women replying with pics from their school!
Is it possibly bike related?
Wait, so your telling me having the face of your company do things that piss off a majority of the people that are potential buyers of your products WASN'T a great strategy?
Color me shocked!!

After a bunch of Jays fans were mad about players not getting Gold Gloves or winning other awards, and then winning a couple awards ...
I'm now seeing other team's fans mad at their guy not winning this award or that; I'm guessing that this is a fan favorite - complaining why YOUR guys didn't win!
Heathcliff was a CATCHER back in the day? Damn.
I'll remember him as 44 on the Jays as a DH.
Hard to believe this was about a week ago, it feels like months have passed since the end of the Series.
Feeling even better now -- it wasn't a season, after finishing last in the AL East in 2024, that anyone expected. So happy for the team, and hoping we'll be back in the postseason next year!!
Insurance is to spread risk -- insurers know 10 people will have a big event, out of 10,000 -- but don't know WHO. So they take a little from everyone as a premium, and pay out the unlucky ones.
If 9,990 aren't paying but not claiming, premiums rise.
It's worse than just risk pools, it's misunderstanding how insurance works in general.
If a shingle falls off your house or your toaster goes kaput, you can probably swing it to fix that.
But if wind rips your roof off, you need a new roof tomorrow, and that is big $$$.
Kinda hoping to see that text show up at his civil trial for damages, tbh.
It was a devastating loss and not the result that the Team or us fans deserved.
But, I'm not disappointed in the least; they played their hearts out, they gave us a World Series run and are just the best team we've had in the last ten years.
Grateful, humble, loved the entire season.
