Vehicle traffic will be prohibited and parking will be restricted on many streets in the days leading up to and including Marathon Monday.
Newbury Street and Huntington Avenue outbound will be closed to vehicle traffic.

Props. Includes sporting equipment, flagpoles, hard objects, and military or fire/gear.
Certain containers. Includes glass, cans, or any container capable of carrying more than 1 liter of liquid.
Large blankets. Includes comforters, duvets, and sleeping bags.
Costumes. Includes those covering the face or any non-form-fitting, bulky outfits extending beyond the perimeter of the body.
Coolers, suitcases, and weapons of any kind.
Marathon Impacts on City Services
Parking meters are free across Boston.
Daytime street sweeping is cancelled.
Trash and recycling pickup is delayed in most neighborhoods.
City offices, Boston Public Libraries, and BCYF Community Centers are closed due to the Patriots’ Day holiday.
Restrooms can be located at boston.gov/restrooms.
Visit boston.gov/public-works to check trash and street sweeping schedules.
Call 311 or 617-635-4500 if you have any City-related non-emergencies. Dial 911 for all emergencies.
