Public Health Department: Confirmed cases of chickenpox at St. Louis County school The St. Louis County Department of Public Health confirmed Tuesday that there are cases of varicella, also known as chickenpox, at Principia School.

Principia School is a private pre-K-12 Christian Science boarding school in Town and Country.

St. Louis Public Schools proposes changes to start times St. Louis Public Schools is considering what the district is calling “thrive time” which would create later start times for the 2026-2027 school year.

The proposal would move the district to a two-tier system where schools either start at 8:00 a.m. or 9:30 a.m.

NWS: 2025 marks Missouri’s highest rate of tornado-related deaths since 2011 Joplin EF-5 The National Weather Service (NWS) reported that 16 Missourians died as a result of tornadoes in 2025, marking the highest tornado-related deaths in Missouri since the 2011 Joplin tornado. Within the year, there were also three deaths related to flooding and a death related to a severe thunderstorm.

Sixteen Missourians died as a result of tornadoes in 2025.
