Pam Bondi is a joke and should resign
Also complicit in attempting to dismiss and at worst cover up some of the most horrific events in modern history
Should people educate themselves on bitcoin and see that it shouldn’t be this political prop? Yes. Does that mean I’m happy Trump made this harder and all hut impossible for potentially a slight majority of Americans. No, I’m pissed.
This was a huge setback. Period.
But I feel things will continue to be hostile for quite some time. While folks have good reason to be upset with the Gensler SEC and Biden admin, to go all in on Trump was a massive mistake. We’re going to pay the price for that.
Democrats do have an opportunity to talk about things differently in regards to bitcoin and crypto. The industry can and should engage.
And I think most business leaders including those in crypto would agree they would have rather worked with a Harris admin than the trade offs being made for dealing with a sporadic, vindictive, corrupt Trump admin where pay to play is the name of the game and he can dump you whenever he’d like.
And all I’m trying to say is tying the industry and the perception of bitcoin in the U.S. to this admin — an admin hellbent on personal gain for the Trump family and with fascistic tendencies and leanings with white nationalist dog whistles…this was a fail
Many folks are continuing to try to educate about bitcoin, companies like @blocks @CashApp doing I think great work to try to show Bitcoin as this useful and appealing thing for savings and money and strip the political narratives from it
whatever progress that has been made or could have been made, Voters are demanding a reckoning of corruption and failures from this White House. Dems are in an even greater position to tackle this, & this could spell incredible setbacks for the industry and even the perception and image of bitcoin.
They’re distracted and disgusted with continued corruption from the Trump White House.
Those not previously educated on Bitcoin and the fact that it is not controlled by a CEO, Wall Street, or Trump, and that it has incredible use cases of money that can’t be stoped, savings for working class families, borderless payments, money for activists, etc
And above all, more and more everyday people and those growing more and more furious with the Trump admin around corruption, ICE lawlessness, investment in foreign wars and business, wall street kissing ass and donating to Trump’s personal pet projects
They associate Bitcoin/crypto with all this
Dems dig in further with the absolute lawlessness and corruption from the Trump White House.
Bipartisan efforts around Bitcoin and crypto in DC continue to stall. While there has been some progress, it continues to breakdown more and more partisan as the GOP refuses to do anything to stand up to the Trump family corruption when it comes to crypto.
The gains in crypto have been wiped. People assumed there would be “wins” like the U.S. buying Bitcoin, more investment in the industry, the end of persecution of open source developers and debanking (nope still happening).
Nope.
Trump’s family has made it a priority to profit off the White House and position. The crypto corruption has been massive — from CZ, to the Saudi’s, and crypto execs continuing to kiss trumps ass for personal favor, it’s creating a really gross image of Bitcoin/crypto for the average person.
Trump saw an opportunity to get hundreds of millions for his campaign from wealthy crypto industry donors. It worked. And he even freed Ross (which was great!). Since then the results have been pretty nonexistent and more roadblocks and setbacks then long term wins
The Bitcoin ETFs, massive flows to Bitcoin, came under the Biden admin. Gensler’s handling of prosecuting the industry was a net negative, and he was on his way out of control of the SEC anyway. But he also at least understood Bitcoin and was weary of the corrupt & lawlessness/debauchery in crypto.
Many in the industry and Bitcoiners feel the last admin was hostile and failed when it came to seeing the promise and opportunity in Bitcoin/crypto. I did as well.
But I’d rather have an admin “hostile” to this than an admin hostile to America, Liberty, and captured by corruption.
Donald Trump has been extremely net-negative for Bitcoin adoption, positive legislation, and growth of the asset/use cases for individuals, the industry, and global adoption
A short, medium, and long term fail by the industry and big crypto money behind the admin 🧵
Bitcoin is a neutral, open, permissionless monetary system
This is what makes it so great as resistance money. No pedo-bankers/institutions required.
Truly peer to peer when held and used in self custody (which is easy!)
Real question Bluesky. I am a former progressive who really thinks our government has grown too big, and powerful and away from the founders intent. There is too much room for error.
I identity as a libertarian socialist/anarchist now.
Anyone else feel this?
The political opportunism and power trip you see from JD Vance is the stuff of legends
What a rise and fall of the soul
Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.
We’ve got a bit of a refocus brewing for TPB. Stay tuned — but mission remains the same
Show bitcoin as money for the people and social good.
Check my page there man — getting some more traction, but yes the silence can be deafening.

Hey I’m right there with you I’m just saying, a lot of people voted for Trump and Dems could’ve tried harder. Pretty unanimous at this point people say Biden should’ve stuck with the original plan and dropped sooner….
I warned so many progressive friends to stop giving the federal govt more charge and oversight and surveillance of everything because Trump may be back or “your guy” may not win.
Now look what is happening!
I still don’t get how “the resistance” doesn’t understand that
A) you need to fucking toughen up and exercise your first and second amendment rights
B) use resistance money which is bitcoin
Still thinking asking for permission from and giving the government more control is a good idea?
