This was on YouTube the other day. (It still may be there). I saw this film at the theatre. The cast was great. Peter Cushing was a favorite. He was great in the Hammer films also. Richard Greene was another favorite. As kids, we used to watch him as Robin Hood on the TV series.
I watched the 2005 film “Good Night and Good Luck” tonight. It concerned CBS and the it’s reporting on Joe McCarthy and the tensions that developed. What a contrast… back then there was Edward R Murrow, Fred Friendly and William Paley.
Today we have Tony Dokoupil, Bari Weiss and David Ellison.

Agree 100%. Voters knew who trump was in 2016 and in 2024 even more and they knew the GOP was carrying his water all along. It’s time they take some responsibility.

I saw this film several times. When I was younger, the local TV station aired the movie in a blue/red configuration so that when wearing blue/red plastic film “glasses”, you got a kind of 3D effect. The “glasses” were available at local stores. Good ol’ days…

When McConnell eliminated the filibuster, that was for the senate actually voting for the nominee which would only require a simple majority to pass. McConnell didn’t allow Garland to come up for a vote in the first place.
Nuking the filibuster had nothing to do with Obama’s SC pick. McConnell refused to bring up Garland for a vote as he was the majority leader of the Senate.You can call Garland whatever you want, but he’s miles ahead of Gorsuch.
