Reminder that real Switch 2 homebrew may not happen anytime soon, if ever. If anything legitimate does appear, you will hear about it from reputable sources and not a random Twitter user.
The reason you might see a Switch 2 with "custom firmware" is due to images and videos being displayed in the Album. It is possible to insert custom content by signing images and videos so the OS accepts them.
There's been a few claims of Switch 2 hacks and custom firmware lately. Most recent is an alleged "nand explorer", which is currently impossible. The UFS storage is encrypted, so direct access won't work without the keys, and there is still no software exploits to access the storage or get the keys.
The Switch 19.0.2 update you might see online is only for units released in China.
Unlike all other regions, Chinese Switch units are region-locked and have their own firmware. The online services for them will shut down later this year.

Yes, and repairs for Old 2DS and New 2DS XL are still ongoing. Also worth mentioning other regions might do it differently: Nintendo of Japan no longer repairs any models.
