Most likely!
Had to google the character, but I can definitely see it lol. Is he a villain, because it would be fitting. π
for the province, it makes no sense. The proposed cuts will have a tiny impact on the province's deficit but will have a big devastating impact for artists and the cultural sector.
opportunities only get to happen if there is proper funding for them to happen. Artistic & cultural events like the "2024 CMA" bring in way more money to the province than they cost in funding, they're an investment that actually bring returns. Cutting this funding will further cut revenue streams..
Getting to make art for Acadian cultural projects like the animations for the "Jeux de l'Acadie de la Nouvelle-Ecosse" and making videos for the "Federation Culturelle Acadienne de la Nouvelle-Ecosse" to name a few were some of the most rewarding projects I've gotten to be a part of and these..
Drawing of Tim Houston premiere of Nova Scotia grinning, holding a banner of flags on fire, his PC party tie is on fire as well. From left to right is the NovaScotia Gaelic flag, the Acadian flag, the Nova Scotia flag, the Miβkmaq flag and Afro Nova-Scotian flag. Underneath the caption reads "Tim Houston shows off his "art" project" in english and "Tim Houston presente son projet ""artistique"" in french.
A little piece inspired by our premiere. Gutting funding to the arts is a direct attack on the vitality of Nova Scotia's cultures and the province as a whole. The fact that he thinks the outrage against his cuts are just some NDP backed ploy is maddening and insulting frankly.

Donβt let this government tell you this was just a small group of βprofessional protestors.β
This was massive collective action.
Keep going #nspoli
kill the imposter syndrome in you head because not only is there someone out there doing it worse than you, they're also using chat gpt to do it
Anyways.
Large board reading "should the cuts pass, we the undersigned hereby pledge to BOO TIM HOUSTON and his complicit stooges, loudly and at every opportunity' and is covered in hundreds of signatures. The sign is in front of Province House in Halifax, NS
Back view of the same board, titled "'Boo Tim Houston' Pledge Cont'd", densely covered with many many more signatures
In response to a devastating PC austerity budget, hundreds of people in Halifax have sworn to boo premier Tim Houston and his bootlicking ministers on sight @nsgov.bsky.social
Pure godless evil.
Slept a bit less than 5 hours last night. Going to be doing the don't sleep on the bus home challenge later.

Why βͺ@why.bsky.teamβ¬ Until December of last year I was using LLMs as fancy autocomplete for coding. It was nice for scaffolding out boilerplate, or giving me a gut check on some things, or banging out some boring routine stuff. In the past two months Claude has written about 99% of my code. Things are changing. Fast
in case you ever wondered why bsky breaks all the fuckin time and is increasingly a pile of jank

Man, at the start of Covid I was really happy to not have to be getting home late from work, but I'm at the point now where I get excited whenever I go into work just to be able to get out of the house and see people.
I super recommend it! It's honestly some of the most nervous a ResidentEvil has made me feel. 7 was spooky but somehow in 9 you feel even more vulnerable and in danger... except for the Leon segments lol!
Wake up, babe, new commercial for Linux just dropped
Accurate!

If you play 6 I highly recommend a co-op partner so you have someone to laugh along with at the insanity. It's a terrible game, but it can be a shockingly fun Co-Op romp.

I have seen a lot of cursed stuff in my time in academia but this is among the *most* cursed.
Grammarly is generating miniature LLMs based on academic work so that users can have their writing βreviewedβ by experts like David Abulafia, who died less than two months ago.
Really looking forward to have time & energy to do more art again. Balancing that freelance with work and having a todler at home really took it out of me lol. I don't know how I didn't see the exhaustion coming. π
The hole in the ozone layer was actually very serious and a global effort allowed it to recover. Y2K WAS actually a serious problem and people worked countless hours to make sure nobody even noticed. Air and water pollution was catastrophic in many places and incredible effort reversed that damage.
I think about this Tony Benn speech much more than I used to
I find AI companies clear intent to use an abuse the UK for all it's worth then bounce, and the UK government allowing it because they think it'll make them rich fascinating.

Gouache painting of the Nova Scotia coat of arms: a blue X on a white field under a gold shield with a red rampant lion in a double border decorated with fleurs de lis. The lion is thin with visible ribs. It weeps because NS premier Tim Houston plans to starve the province into abject austerity, and neither he nor culture minister minister Dave Ritcey absolutely could not give less of a shit about any of us, our province, or the arts
so clearly Dave Ritcey (the minister overseeing the obliteration of our arts and culture) is not much of a "numbers guy". Perhaps we can still reach his heart through the power of images? Please express yourself to cch@novascotia.ca in the medium of your choosing #NSPoli @nsgov.bsky.social #Halisky
