I would have done SO MANY THINGS differently had I done research, like not make my first demo myself, treated my space correctly, & learned how to properly audition early on.
I feel like I wasted years learning as I went, without asking questions or doing workshops
ASK! QUESTIONS! LEARN FROM OTHERS!

My very first VO setup all the way back in 2011 was an untreated, open room with a rockband mic at the computer being held up by an empty tissue box.

You never know where you're going to go, keep working at it!

I auditioned for a role recently I REALLY wanted. The CD contacted me directly saying I wasn't right for the role I wanted, but there is another unreleased character in the same project they want me for!

Send it and forget it!
It shouldnt matter how many roles you audition for, because you dont know what the CD is looking for.

I made just one more change to the booth, got a keyboard tray, and got that table out of there. There's SO MUCH more room now! Now lets hit those auditions!
