I’m also going Gen 2 here; Crystal for GBC in my case. Ampharos is still my favorite after all these years; let’s get an original-flavor one.

This is making me want to start a new Pokémon playthrough of some kind too. I kind of miss it.
My favorite individual Pokémon was an Ampharos I first caught via Pokéwalker as a Mareep. I raised her through Soul Silver, then transferred her forward a couple times until I decided she'd earned a nice retirement in Alola and left her on the Poké-pelago.
The cats are waiting to be fed
This ache is pounding on my head
It's still too light to go to bed
I think I'll just lie here instead

Patch taste-tests one of Frigid's new recipes. She's trying to replicate this thing she heard of once called a "fluffernutter", and Patch has clearly mixed opinions on the results.
I dunno. Why do Talking Heads do anything?
Yeah, just this past June.
Have you seen their (recently made) official video for it?

(The "harmless" here is important; I'm not going to ask anyone to put up with graphic depictions of violence or anything like that)
Whenever there's talk here about kinks, I can't help but notice that a lot of people seem really attracted to large breasts. I never saw the appeal, myself. But if I can put up with the overwhelming amount of art out there that features them, anyone can put up with any other harmless feature.
A witch who waits with watchful eye
Her cauldron brewing spells to spy
Then out upon her broom she'll fly
And only she knows where or why
She'll zip right down from darkest sky
With some enchantment to apply
And those who meet her can't deny
She's not good, but at least she'll try

Does the house have a Room 46?
This is sounding like a good project for me to take on once all the Act 1 puzzles are written, because then I'll know what my feature set should be. A React-based framework for puzzle-hunt-style word games is exactly the kind of thing I could implement.
I'm not an indie game dev, though. This isn't software, it's a book. The PDF/Zip version just automates solution checking, but I'm thinking of this project as print-first.
I could in theory make it into a web-based game, but I haven't wanted to code anything in weeks (I still might later).
I think what's bothering me here is that at the moment I have nobody giving me feedback on it. I don't mean the few pieces of art and stuff I've shared, I mean someone who can take a look at the whole thing and make comments and suggestions. I need an editor.
I haven't been trying to promote the Bitkin project at all yet because it's still a first draft. I haven't even gotten beta-solvers to try the puzzles out. But I'm increasingly worried about the time when I have to. Self-promotion takes self-confidence, and I'm historically bad at that.
Congratulations! It's a trout!
Well done, my friend; that's worth some clout
One picture and the world will shout:
The finest fishing fox about
I have a puzzle of my own that I'm trying to figure out as I keep working on the Bitkin thing: how do I get this in front of an audience? How do I build hype? This is something I've never been good at, and in this day and age I feel even more lost.
Current Act 1 progress:
Puzzles with complete art: 5
Puzzles with no/incomplete art: 2
Puzzles yet to design: 6 or so
I'd been worrying about the Bitkin puzzles being too hard (a lot of them depend on a-ha moments that people might not catch at first), but adding optional hints feels like a good way to solve that.
Still not sure how to password-lock parts of a print book apart from the honor system, though.
From just one fuzzy bunny spore
It starts beneath the kitchen floor
Then slipping through a cupboard door
They don't grow strong; they just grow more
Went out a-ridin' one fine day
My stubborn horse, though, had his say;
I woulda rather stopped for hay
But not this time, my horse said nay
I want to meet the librarian dragon.
One owned and ran a small trucking company out of his house (with an appropriately large garage), and the other was a WWII Navy vet who became a public relations guy and photographer after coming home.
It's been a long time coming — congrats, safe travels, and best of luck getting everything settled in and set up in Oz.
Question for those of you who call carbonated beverages "pop": what does the word "soda" mean to you? Is fizzy water still "soda water"?
My own answer here: they're tone contours for whistling. Frbodj/// is pronounced /fr̥ bodʒ/ followed by three ascending "fweet"s.
A name like Yjr Frbodj/// raises all kinds of interesting worldbuilding questions. What kind of language (from what kind of species) would have / be a meaningful letter? Is it spoken or a gesture? Is there a whole set of "line" letters (like / \ | —)?
