legit i built a couple british houses and i instantly unlocked
- 3 different unique pubs
- a petrol station

turns out the game has autosave, but its *off by default.*
WHY. who at @colossalorder.fi thought that was a good idea.

wanted to give cities skylines 2 another try, since bikes & the platter mod released now. was actually starting to have fun making a quaint little british town. game crashed after 3 hours. no autosave. welp. that's that.

and then, just look at *tonnes* of reference pictures, look for some rooms that fit your vibe, see what’s scattered around in them, and if there sth you like, add it to your world!

try to keep it realistic, maybe look at some floor plans of smaller buildings, or take out a measuring tape and measure how your own room is laid out.

not saying you should just copy an existing room, but it’s good to give you some initial guidelines for scale

don’t make it too big! a lot of world creators starting out make their maps way bigger than they need to be (cuz it’s so easy to make a big space!)

but filling a big space is hard.

unfortunately i don't think i have a choice with unraid.
that being said, i back them up every month (and do additional backups if i change anything major in between)

so it's not a huge deal, just annoying it happened over the holidays when shipping is slow- i should prep & have a cold spare ready
