Todd @ Why are we bothering with the Strait of Hormuz when we could simply do this? Explain it to me like I'm 5. Canal RIOS 508 MOUNTAIN HARD AND BIG, WATER NO UP. MANY MANY DIG DIG.
Nicely put
A small girl wearing a rabbit costume and blue coat carries a book as she walks to school. Her mother (head out of shot) wheels her baby brother along in a pushchair. The baby says "Peter Rabbit may be the 'Hero' of the story, but surely the obedient, widowed Mrs Rabbit is a more effective symbol of the oppression inherent within Mister McGregor's regime" The girls looks furious and snaps "Mum!! He's critiquing my world book day costume from a marxist perspective again!"
A cartoon reminder that tomorrow is World Book Day (In the UK anyway). Originally for the @theguardian.com
Lord almighty, the air traffic controllers in Yerevan (also buried under this narrow route) do not deserve this.
Just finished Small Prophets and it was just as lovely as you all said.

Just range up Weston-super-Mare hospital to rearrange an ophthalmology appointment and I was genuinely impressed that the on-hold music is "Your Song".

This feeling inside..."
Composite image made up of 6 frames, 2 images wide by side repeated 3 times, zooming in further on the faces each time. On the left, a woman holds her hand in the air to attract attention while kneeling next to a man who has fallen down clutching his chest, on the right, a serious-faced man holding a briefcase Woman: Y a t'il un docteur ici?. Man: Je suis docteur. Que se passe t'il? Woman: Une attaque cardiaque ! Man: Je suis docteur en philosophie ! Woman: Il va mourir... Man: Nous allons tous mourir. Translation in English: Woman: Is there a doctor here? Man: I am a doctor, what happened to him? Woman: - a heart attack Man: I am a doctor of philosophy Woman: He's going to die... Man: We're all going to die

Happy 30th birthday to all Pokemons who like dancing to Enya
I guess this is the point where I realise that 99% of my followers have me muted.
I feel this is my most underrated tweet yet.
I think we can all agree that the real losers of the night were Tactical Choice.

I like it!
Just wondering what the word is for doomscrolling on a day when it's actually quite a joyous experience?
I'm old school, so it's always been "Ibuleve for every drop of rain that falls..." for me.
Hannah Spencer walking into Westminster, sucking her teeth, tutting, and muttering "tell you what, you've had some cowboys in here."
The screenshot of the release notes reads: A new version of TeX Live Utility is available! TeX Live Utility 1.55 is now available-you have 1.54. Would you like to download it now? Release Notes: Changes Since 1.54 โข Fix bug 137, homepage link in Help Book. โข First release in a long time, since I don't use TeX anymore and resent the very idea of paying Apple annually for the privilege of giving away free and open-source software. Also, I'm really lazy. Please accept my apologies for all the annoying issues you've encountered in this mission-critical software. โข Updated mirror list, which was three years out of date. โข Added missing legacy mirrors, which was even more out of date. โข Added an alert on startup when user tries Homebrew's lobotomized MacTex, because those lunatics left timgr but removed its database. Thanks for nothing, guys. Bug 142 and 144. โข Use a custom user-agent to work around the Anubis bot trap on texlive.info. Can't wait to see what else breaks because of this, thanks to the profusion of degenerate Artificial Insemination fetishists scraping websites to feed their models. โข Lists of countries in Repository/Continent are now sorted. No idea how you people let me get away with that one for the last fifteen years.
There's a "is anyone even reading this" sort of honesty you get in the software update release notes from a project that's been around for a long time.
Obviously...
The biggest problem I've had with AI all along (at least in its present form) is that it can't - by definition - show you its working.
This is why I increasingly buy books on Vinted. At least there you know that it's a picture of the one you're getting.
God, the stress of hunting down a copy of a book online that has the right cover to match the others in the series that I've already got. Still no guarantee that it's not a stock image, either. (I'm not the only one, am I? Yes, I am the only one, I know, I know...)
I am so sorry to hear this. My deepest sympathies to you and yours.
Guitar Solos 2 was the follow-up to Fred Frith's excellent Guitar Solos album and featured work by Frith, Reichel, Derek Bailey being very difficult and a rather good piece by G.F.Fitzgerald called Brixton Winter 1976 - no idea what happened to him.
That's a pretty good description of it.
Must admit I used to play it to death myself, and I don't remember much of it!
