…I am both over 35, and an engineer, but mostly I think it's because my dad was an electrician and auto-mechanic. Working on home electrical wiring was was considered an easy job! 😁

I think 'museum' for shorter lived peoples would focus more on the personal, like more detailed family histories to explain what might be owed, or debts, and 'how we got here'
Almanacs to help the next generation deal with multi-year/decadal problems would be vital...

Trying to write books for everyone seems to me a surefire way of writing bad books. I’m not interested in writing books for twats. I write books for the cool and nice people whose company I know I’d enjoy if I met them in real life. I’m entirely comfortable with twats hating my books. Bring it on.
