I'm shopping there more and more, need to look past my list and explore their shelves a bit.

Stormy day, rotating winds with a stalled low front off the coast of FL through NW Bahamas.

I mean, they did forecast heavy winds, so we weren't surprised - but I don't think they expected the mph's we got. Once it started, the severity level was raised.

Black and white newspaper TV listings page headed Saturday TV, focused on daytime programming. The page is arranged in narrow columns with times and channel numbers, starting around 4,30 a.m. and running into the afternoon. Listings include many children’s shows and cartoons such as Sesame Street, Popeye, Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny and Road Runner, Flintstones, Daffy Duck, Fat Albert, Jonny Quest, Little Rascals, Brady Bunch, and Laurel and Hardy, mixed with movies, sports, news, educational shows, and Spanish language programming. A bold teaser near the middle reads, Ray Charles in a Cornfield? Hee Haw.

Freedom House, the nation's first emergency medical service, was started in Pittsburgh and made up of Black folks from the Hill District.

I introduced a bill to award Freedom House with a Congressional Gold Medal to give them the recognition they deserve.

Opbf and I are at a local St Patrick’s Day block party thing and there are two different Latin food trucks doing Irish fusion, including corned beef empanadas

this kind of thing is what makes America great, not the nativist bullshit

Just my radio station roof after last night's windstorm, looking like the upper deck of the Millennium Falcon after a battle with a squadron of TIE fighters.

one of the earliest lessons in politics I learned as a kid from my parents was to always vote for a tax increase, because you're trading a dollar amount so small you probably won't notice in order to fund something important that benefits everybody. I wish that was how Democrats messaged this stuff!

A reminder for those of us in Pittsburgh that this isn’t all happening someplace else.

Very thankful here, too: Power ok and apparently no damage at all.

So glad to see the sun this morning. Incentive to actually get some errands done.

This is what I wanted to see - those numbers are 🤯.

This morning is clear and fairly calm (just normal breeze) for the St. Patrick's Day Parade, but temps still only in the 40s, then tomorrow in the '70s! But back to rain/snow on Monday. Sigh. #weatherwhiplash

I overuse emojis, but it's, in part, for that very reason. Intent is not always clear without them.

Scary, snd the smell and ash must be a pain to deal with. Hope it hasn't ruined the weekend for ya.

Another very restless night, another very late morning, but at least we have power. As of right now, almost 189K do not in Western PA.

On McNeilly in Dormont (a hilly/gullied street, not flat/open), one house in the middle of a tight row of houses lost its whole roof?!
