Yep, totally possible like that as well!
Only downside for me is that I like specific windows to have specific tags—putting them into a container groups them all onto one workspace/tag.
Not an issue mechanically, but it’s more of a mental model block for me.
Totally agree having come from Awesome to Hyprland for a bit.
Not to take anything away from Hyprland though, holy smokes it’s an incredible compositor.
If you like Hyprland and don’t want to go the dwl route for Wayland, I definitely recommend Mango. It’s new, but it’s so good 🔥

If there's one thing I'm passionate about in Linux, it's tag-based tiling window managers. Nothing has come close to the productivity boost I've felt because of them.

It's technically a fully working Linux environment, but I haven't checked the setup script lately, so your mileage may vary with those, but you can see all the necessary packages if you're persistent!

Finally ironed out one of the most irritating issues I was facing when using TUIs (specifically AI-related ones) in tmux.
The fix was so simple, but now that I've found it, everything feels so GOOD!
