Also a real good choice, though! Awakening has always just been the platonic ideal Zelda game for me.

Also if I dug a little deeper, Fallout: New Vegas absolutely would have been on my list. It's one I keep installed on my computer so I can go back to it any time.
Chrono Trigger's been my favorite game since I first played it when I was eleven, haha.
And also nine favorites of mine from my9games.com.
Hey, our panel from Super MAGFest 2026 is up! Hear me, @lainenooney.bsky.social, and @kendraserra.bsky.social talk about the last year of news in the field of game history! Hot opinions, deep cuts, and something Laine calls "Weird Take of the Year"
Reposting because I think Cosmic Chaos will probably delisted from store fronts in a week.
I'm really proud of our work on this one! And even if the gameplay isn't your cup of tea, the performances by the amazing cast is worth the price of admission! Dana Snyder is a great Mxyzptlk!
@totter87.bsky.social and @adriansandoval.net can tell you all about a Little Nemo video game that kicks butt!

It's been 4 years since the release of the original Perfect Tides. I wrote down some feelings about it on my blog:

If youβd like to chip in to help me recoup recovery costs like the one week hotel stay, it would mean a lot if you donated to my transition fund:

Our whole industry is getting wrecked by this nonsense. We've got AI reviews on metacritic now. The "reviewer" even has a chat-gpt created avatar, as you can see here: bsky.app/profile/mark...

Bring back Linda Ellerbee and stop making all the pre-k aspirational career shows for doctors and cops and start making them for journalists.
Hi! I'm Adrian, working on Little Nemo and the Nightmare Fiends, a hand-drawn platforming adventure game based on the legendary newspaper comic from Winsor McCay with a group of other awesome devs! store.steampowered.com/app/2229030/...
hey, want to not watch the liar in chief and instead watch me and my friends talk about turtles and raise money for the Trevor Project? we're going live real soon!
If you want to experience this game for the first time, don't want to deal with grinding but still want a little bit of tension, my recommendation is:
-Turn on battle enhancements for random encounters
-Turn it back off for boss/major story battles.
You will have a great time.
Demonschool does this... kinda! Our backgrounds ARE full 3D, but for most of the overworld gameplay, we have a fixed camera angle... if there are no moving lights, we can cache the world to a texture and treat the whole world as an impostor, essentially doing runtime 'pre-rendering' i guess.
This is one of the two larger titles Iβve worked on.
Well, if folks were waiting until it went on sale for a more reasonable price, here you are: 90% off.
(I donβt get anything from sales except knowing the game isnβt forgotten.)

Of the projects that I've worked on previously, this is the one I'm most proud of, so it makes me sad to see it start to fade away and become less accessible.

Got on a train and suddenly want to play Final Fantasy VIII.
If you want to know what the future of the game industry is, look at iicon, the ESA's new industry event. Lots of talk about cross-industry synergy, e-commerce, and leveraging IP. Nothing about game development
The amount of important things about games, industry, and life that I've learned from Brenda, following her career and work and advocacy and activism and mentorship and involvements from afar - but also the times we've crossed paths for work, is staggering.

I took issue with their approach to art direction (for both of their remakes, really), but the DS remake was a really smooth experience, and a great opening salvo for the PS5. Quick, diegetic loading when moving between the Nexus and the different areas alone justified its existence in my mind.
