JavaScript's date object has been tricky for years, but that is changing.
The NEW Temporal API brings,

let me introduce you to "maneuverability", my Achilles' heel
Programming is like scratching an hitch.
The long term effects are terrible (isolation, sedentary lifestyle, eye straining) but the short term pleasure is addicting (seeing digital products come to life, learning a new JS framework, rewriting everything in rust).
just let another agent review your prs
duh
The link was broken for me, here's the correct link: github.com/dorny/paths-...
Pluralis maiestatis. Always. As a solo entrepreneur you have to wear multiple hats. It's only fair to name each one of those hats. ๐
Not really. As a pessimist I predict the worst outcomes to mentally "prepare" myself for the worst but by no means I want those predictions to happen.
E.g. I predicted Trump would try a coup before the end of his first term but I think it's awful that it actually happened.
the reviewer will soon become a 0.01x engineer unfortunately
Whenever someone says "let's just do the simplest thing for now" I always think: What beautiful life have you lead where this hasn't come back to bite you in the ass?
that's a 100x developer right there

I remember disagreeing with almost all of Jonathan Blow's C/C++ takes back in the day but if there's something that has always been clear is that he loves the craft of programming and he cares about quality.
Unfortunately, in the age of LLMs, this seems increasingly rare.

When I got into Software Development, waaaaaay back when... one of the *first* things I was told was
"Quantity of output does not measure quality or productivity. Period."
WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED
What do you mean? Dramatic flip towards what?
Wait. Could you ELI5 this one?
We have reached a new era of civil engineering; now we can build bridges by simply dumping truckloads of shit into the river until the shit mountains are tall enough that some people and maybe cars can cross the river. Truly, it is a revolutionary technology that democraticizes access to bridges; now everyone can dump a truckload of shit over small rivers here and there and cross the rivers instead of asking an engineer to build the bridge for them. This approach completely removes all the bottlenecks in engineering, too: no need to navigate difficult legal or ethical frameworks. The biggest players on the market are staring to replace their bridges with shit mountains, you'd better be catching up and learning how to use this new groundbreaking technology. Some of you have ethical concerns, but this is beyond of the scope of my post. I also recognise that some might notice fish in the rivers dying, or simply slip on the shit; just you wait, I bet it'll be fixed in ~6 months

If you think most SaaS software is terrible wait until you try vibecoded bullshit.
Also have fun with all certifications and other legal requirements with your vibecoded apps ๐ค
