Yeah, metrics are crucial for the strategy. They help you to track progress, and to know if you need to iterate it.
I like the concept of "wire trap" that helps us to go fast until some of those metrics go beyond a threshold. This way, we can focus on execution knowing when to stop.

I'm exploring the adoption of a strategy though time. I came with this. But it feels wrong.
The adoption isn't linear, not it peaks when it is outdated already.
Looking for a better representation of adoption here. Any ideas?

Working on some of the hardest concepts of Engineering Strategy. Strategy lifecycle.
Trying to find a good enough model to address things like:
- Lead Times
- Adoption
- Analysis-paralysis
- Systems theory
This is a draft picture, WIP!

I remember when we said that we scaled by machine because RAM was cheap.
That's no longer the case, are we changing our design decisions based on that?

La oferta termina en 7 dรญas!

Making sure a strategy happens with Coherent Actions and ad hoc teams
How coherent actions and ad hoc teams help you on the execution of the strategy
We should stop treating strategy like a relay race ๐โโ๏ธโก๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
We often split it: leaders decide, then teams execute. But as I explore in the blog post, this breaks the most critical elementโthe **fast feedback loop**.
I wrote a little about it, hope you enjoy!

They contain:
๐๏ธ In which context they were designed
๐๏ธ How was the execution
๐๏ธ Which were the outcomes, with intended and unintended consequences
Please, consider reposting as this kind of posts needs more reach than usual, and it can help a lot of people lost on the strategy theater ๐

We lack real world examples on how an engineering strategy looks like. Those do not need to be fancy, but address the high-stakes challenge.
I made all the articles available for everyone to help people to find new perspectives on how to address their strategy.
