Our chief executive confedmatt.bsky.social spoke to LBC today about people attending A&E with minor conditions.

He said that it is really important to help patients understand there are alternatives to A&E where they can be treated more quickly.

Our director of acute and community care, @rorydeighton.bsky.social, spoke to BBC Breakfast about new figures showing that people are now turning up to A&E for minor conditions.

He also discussed how the #NHS is committed to supporting the government's ambition of moving more care closer to home.

Bring care closer to home: new report calls for action to reduce shameful practice of out of area placements for people with acute mental health needs The NHS Confederation and Royal College of Psychiatrists have published a new report about inappropriate out of area placements.

We & @nhsconfed.org have released a new report which shows that an unacceptable number of people with acute mental health needs are being sent miles from home for treatment. It sets out key recommendations to help address inappropriate out of area placements.
