I see that they're listing domains at $0 for one year... you get what you pay for I guess.

I just learned this, but something to add to the list of why to never use Wix. If you purchase your domain there, they force you to upgrade to their premium plan in order to edit the DNS records, and even then they still don't allow updating nameservers. ☹️ #wix

Leave a few different ones out to see if they play with them. Catnip toys maybe. If they are stressed or unwell they might not feel like playing. We used to leave some "Relax my cat" music on youtube playing for our kitty. 🐈‍⬛❤️

Affinity design software has dramatically changed directions after being purchased by Canva. The once great "Pay Once" alternative to Adobe may eventually switch to subscription pricing. Currently it is being offered for "free". What that really means we will find out later... #affinity #design

I think the WildApricot website builder is about 15 years behind in terms of the code output quality.

Also, the client cannot access backups of the website.

It also lacks the ability to duplicate elements, making it take about 4 times as long as WordPress with Elementor to build a simple custom design.

Although it has some good UI features, the code that it outputs is horrendous. It makes it extremely difficult to create unique designs and to customize. Without advanced CSS knowledge a user would not be able to make many design changes.
