I’ll also point out that our national summer sport is lacrosse. Imagine hockey but with a hard ball and what looks like baseball bats with nets attached at the end.
These are the curling clubs closest to me, but that doesn’t count every small town’s arena. It’s really a thing. :) If the farm kids didn’t play hockey, they curled in the winter.

Live in rural Canada. Curling is DEFINITELY a thing. Who needs it on television when you can pop down to the local curling club and watch teams trash talk each other and then get hammered in the bar.

It took a 152cm/8kg crowbar to break up the ice at the base of the garage door after more than a week of snow storms with more coming. That’s about 6cm of solid ice covered by another 10cm of hard packed snow. And that was covered by 30cm of loose snow. The garage door now closes properly.
