reminder when you're doing your taxes, the number patreon is putting on your 1099 is the gross and they DO NOT exclude all the money they took from you in fees. you need to deduct that yourself as business expenses. an easy ("easy") way to do that is to download your earnings by month

Everybody works different, but at least so far for me it's been INTENSE PERIOD OF INSPIRATION followed by about 4-5x that length of refining, editing, etc while buckling down into the work

This was the first year and a half of working on TJ and Amal and the first 8 months-year of working on Shot and Chaser. I think I've finally learned to roll with it. Freelancing instead of having an 8-5 job helps.

Last night, from midnight to 3:30:
lie down to sleep -> inspiration strikes -> turn on bedside lamp and write it down -> lie back down to sleep -> another scene idea ...
anyway i got up at 930 and i need extra coffee today

The whole show was a 3 hr cycle of
get really into music -> sudden inspiration for Band Comic stirikes and i have to jot it down before I forget -> distracted from music -> get back into music -> inspiration strikes again
